Wow! It has been a year since I have been on my own blog. It has been a good year for me, I visited my Daughter in Portland three times and found a Church I like, Hope Lutheran, and had a visit from a good friend from Fullerton Ca. Steve Crisanti.
I have discovered how great YouTube can be in finding good Literary, Philosophical, Theological, and Entertainment, topics. It has been satisfying all my needs and desires for some time now.
A couple of my favorites have been, Benjamin McEvoy's on Literature, and Ryan Holiday on Stoicism.
Another tangent I have been off on is 19 Th. Century Russian Literature. I'm especially enamored with both Leo Tolstoy and Fyodor Dostoyevsky. I have found, so far, Tolstoy's, War and Peace, Anna Karenina, and Tolstoy's Confessions very interesting. I have completed Confessions so far, and I'm on a one-year reading schedule to complete War and Peace. I hope to live long enough to complete Anna Karenina. I have watched TV Mini Series' on both W&P and AK. I have only gotten into Dostoyevsky, by watching a Russian movie of his novel, The Idiot, I found it to be both interesting and entertaining..
Stoicism. I'm still very much integrated into Stoicism, Stoicism has significantly changed my life, for the meaning of life. I am happy, satisfied, and content with my life as it is, here and now.
This is all I have for the moment. I will try to attend to this Blog on a more frequent schedule than I have done in the past year.
Until the next post,
Rex
